Synopsis
My life was perfectly mapped out for me since before the day I was born. I followed it, begrudgingly, because it’s what was expected. And then one day, everything changed.
I woke up.
Different. Independent. Free from all the rules that had surrounded me.
Only I have no idea how I got to where I am. I have no memory of graduating college. No memory of Adam, the boyfriend I live with.
He loves me. And I love him. At least that’s what everyone says.
Except when my memories return to me as dreams, I see a different man than the one everyone claims is perfect for me.
He terrifies me. He makes my heart race and he makes me feel things I’ve never felt before.
I have no idea if I want to welcome the emotional roller-coaster that his piercing brown eyes and messy black hair puts me on every time I get a glimpse of him, or if I want to run back to the safe shelter of the scripted life-plan that used to be mine.
Review- 4 stars
I
enjoyed this book. It was an easy read,
but not because the subject matter. Dealing
with amnesia and a forgotten past that included a lover and home that you just
can’t remember is definitely deep, but the book flowed so well, the storyline
and plot were just natural. I didn’t
have to think too deeply while reading, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t feel the
emotions just as intensely as any other book.
The characters are also very well developed and by the end of the book I
felt as if I knew each of them on an intimate level.
We
start off the story by meeting Amy who is just coming out of a coma and doesn’t
remember the last 2 years of her life.
Her last 2 years included some MAJOR life changing events. Falling out with her parents, meeting,
falling in love with, and moving in with her boyfriend, and graduating college. The life that she remembers is a complete 360
from the life she was living at the time of the accident. But all of those things are forgotten, and
she’s left living with a man she doesn’t know.
Read the book to follow the adventure of Amy and Adam as Amy rediscovers
their love and the man who loves her throughout all of it. It is a very sweet emotional read. My only complaint is that I had that strange feeling of déjà
vu, like I’ve
read it before. But other than
that I thoroughly enjoyed it. ~Lauren

I am a wife, a mom, and a writer. I can often be found curled up on the couch with a good book, or obsessively eating Skittles in a very complicated and organized manner. No joke.
