Synopsis
Alexis doesn’t believe in fairytales. She knows first hand that life can turn on a dime – that one stupid mistake can shatter dreams and irrevocably shape the future. Even though her memory of that day is hazy, she has spent the last ten years trying to put it behind her and focus on the future.

Armed with the knowledge that her career will be her only legacy, Alexis works night and day to prove that she is more than just her last name. It’s not only that she doesn’t have time for love – she doesn’t have the heart for it. After all, there’s no point in starting something that you can’t finish.

However, when she meets Adam, she’s drawn to him in a way even she can’t deny. The film student is dark and brooding and strangely charming. He’s the perfect distraction from the mundane life she’s created for herself. And, as if fate is pushing them together, he seems to be around every corner. It’s enough to almost make her entirely forget about her past and take a chance.

Unfortunately, Adam’s memory isn’t hazy . . . not in the least. And, what she doesn’t remember, he can’t forget.

Review- 5☆☆☆☆☆

5 stars peeps!  This book is wow, just WOW! I just finished reading Remembering Joy by Jenni Moen and let me tell you, I feel like I am just stepping off of a rollercoaster.   I have felt almost every emotion under the sun while reading this book.  I have laughed and cried with these characters (I have also gotten so incredibly frustrated with them that I was yelling at the screen while reading… shhh, don’t tell anyone, lol).  Jenni Moen has written this book so well, that by the second or third chapter, you feel like you are just as emotionally invested in the story as if it was happening to you.  This book definitely makes it onto my list of favorite books.

So, let me tell you a little bit about the two main characters.  First you have Adam, the brooding hottie film student with a secret and a personal vendetta.  I absolutely fell in love with Adam, but he could be SO infuriating at times.  I just wanted to reach into the book and smack him upside the head to knock some sense into him. Then you have Alexis.  From the outside she seems like a polished attorney who has it all together, but on the inside, she’s barely holding on to herself and keeps herself emotionally distant after a mistake in her past changed her future. Even though their worlds are completely different, there is something about Adam that she is instantly drawn to.  She quickly realizes that no strings attached may not be the way she wants to live her life any more, especially when it comes to him.  Can she forget about the mistakes in her past that continue to haunt her? And after she finds out about Adam’s secret, will she still want the strings that he’s begun tying to her heart?

All I have to say is GO BUY THIS BOOK!  You most definitely will not regret it.  This book doesn’t end in a cliffhanger, but it will leave you wanting more, more, more!  I can’t wait to continue Alexis and Adam’s story in the sequel J ~Lauren

Meet the Author

jenniJenni Moen lives in her hometown in Oklahoma with her husband and three crazy, exuberant kids that have the potential to burn the house down at any moment.

When she's not chauffeuring kids around town, performing her mom duties as a short order cook and maid, or vacuuming for her fastidious husband, she hammers away at her keyboard at her big girl job as a patent attorney. While vodka and exercise have provided some relief from the daily grind, it is reading ... and now writing ... that are her true escapes.
