Escaping Eden – Erotica

Review
4 star read loved this story. Love Eden shes a fun outgoing girl but doesn't want a relationship cause she still has feelings for her ex. Her friend has something else in mind she wants Eden happy so she introduces her to Simon the sexy Australian here on a Visa. Eden try's to help Simon find the right girl but she is definitely in for more then that. This story was funny and had the right amount of emotion. Escaping Eden is the perfect example of opposites extract. Escaping Eden is a fun loving romance that's characters draw you in. Yolanda Olson has a way of writing that you cant help but smile this romance is one you need to add to your TBR.

Saving Marley – Erotica

Claiming Olivia – Erotica

Review
4 stars. This was a short and fun read. I love how Olivia goes to Spain to find herself. Olivia is strong and independent I love her character. When her and Alejandro meet their connection was instant and you hope for the happy ending Olivia deserves. This book was an enjoyable read I would have loved it to be longer so I can enjoy it more.

Monster – YA Horror

Unwound – Fiction Horror

Author bio:
Yolanda Olson grew up in Bridgeport, CT and currently resides in Bloomington, IL. Through her love of writing, she has channeled the emotions of early life experiences into characters that are intriguing and powerful. Her vivid imagination and her love of video games and horror movies are evident in her writing style.

Author Interview

What inspired you to write your first book? My first self-pub is called Monster: The Rebirth of Finnegan Sloane under a pen name. I was watching a music video one day and the girl in the video kind of sparked something in me. So I wrote something that I would want to read.
Do you have a specific writing style? No, I try to do my best to keep horror related gore in everything which is why I’m going back to my PNR. Erotica is fun, but the horror keeps fighting its way out of me lol
How did you come up with the title? I’ll pick a random title :p Monster is how Finnegan sees herself. She hates herself for being a Monster even though it was never her choice to be one.
What's your next project? I’m working on a vampire PNR about a soul eater and … you’ll see! ;)
What's your favorite love story? (movie or book) Legend. OMG I’m not one for love stories, but Legend has been my favorite movie since I was a child so that will always be it for me!
What’s your favorite quote from your book? “Was I ever crazy? Maybe. Or maybe life is… Crazy isn’t being broken or swallowing a dark secret. It’s you or me amplified. If you ever told a lie and enjoyed it. If you ever wished you could be a child forever. They were not perfect, but they were my friends.” ― Susanna Kaysen, Girl, Interrupted
If we Googled your name what would we see? You’d see a list of my books and stuff!
Who was your favorite character to write about? Probably Caelum from Unwound. He goes through a lot and he never loses faith in what he’s doing.
If you could have been told one thing that you weren't told when you were a teenager, what would you like to have heard? Don’t graduate. Once you do it’s real world time lol
Are there any Authors you feel inspired you? Kelley Armstrong, Kim Harrison, & Tonya Hurley
you a morning or night person? Night definitely. You don’t want to be near me in the morning until the coffee has settled lol
If I wasn't afraid I would _go to the circus. Clowns stop me dead in my tracks all the time.________ (What?)
Someday, I want to __visit Spain and Greece_______ (What?)
What is the best thing you have done in your life?  Been an aunt. I know it’s nothing I did personally but being able to love those kids like they are my own makes life worth living.
What are your favorite hobbies? Reading, writing, playing video games.
Do you believe in love at first sight? I want to say no BUT it so happened to me. I’m still married to my first love at first sight experience lol
Does Prince Charming exist? Nope. Don’t ever think he’s there. I’m a realist when it comes to that.
List five adjectives to describe yourself. Ambitious, honest, trustworthy, shy, and loyal.
What are your pet peeves or interesting things about you that you dislike? I have a thing with balance. Maybe it’s the Libra in me, but I always try to put a tattoo in the opposite spot of where I have one. Currently, my right arm has been driving me nuts because I have a half sleeve of Alice in Wonderland on my left arm and nothing on my right. >_<

Review:
So, many of you guys know that when I review a book I like to go in blind…I don’t read the excerpts of the synopsis… I read the title and proceed.  I started doing this because I felt like it would enhance my reviews by eliminating any preconceived notions and bias that I could unwittingly take into the book.  The unexpected benefit that I found for myself, is that I actually end up enjoying books more, I don’t just go on auto-pilot as I’m reading, looking for whatever plot twist or particular action I may have subconsciously developed while reading the synopsis.
Ok, with that being said… I loved this book!  I found myself getting swept along in this post societal break-down environment that author D.D. Chant created.  Rarely do I find a book that has equal strength in character and plot development.  Added to that the pace and flow of the story was so well done that “Broken City” really delivers on a well-rounded and thoroughly engaging adventure/action/romantic saga.
The main character is obviously Deeta… but what’s interesting, the remaining characters have such depth of emotion and personality, that I just can’t see myself responding with the same positivity had they not been included as well.  In a world struggling for survival for just the most basic of needs… there’s also the sense of an internal struggle in finding north again on the moral compass of humanity.  It truly makes an argument to what civility exists within the structure of standards within a conflict-free society and one where laws and any kind of peaceful foundational system is pretty much non-existent.
When I finished reading “Broken City”, I was surprised with the impact it left me with.  Thinking of our current economic challenges that we’re facing in our world today, it’s not that much of a stretch to anyone’s imagination that the events that took place in this book could easily occur in our present day world.  And where most written stories and TV and/or movie productions with similar economic & society downfalls… D.D. Chant chose not to rely on mutants/zombies/supernatural beings to introduce conflict (don’t get me wrong, my all-time fave show is “The Walking Dead”, so the exclusion of these things is not a bad thing) instead choosing to the absolute horror of losing just about everything that people have relied on for generations and realizing the new rule of law is to keep, gather and protect what’s deemed important by any means necessary… which usually includes some form of violence.  D.D. Chant has done an exceptional job in creating a world where love and kindness can still exist due to the sheer will of human strength and compassion, but still be so fleetingly fragile.

Hi everyone!
My name is Dee Dee, I’m twenty six and I live in a beautiful part of Devon, England with my family. I have a younger sister, Amy who is a brilliant guitar player, some chickens, duck, geese, pheasants, a cat (that adopted us when we moved in!!!) and some Koi.

Broken City is actually my second novel. My first, as my Aunt so delicately put it, was crazy. In my defence I was only sixteen when I wrote it. On the plus side I learnt a lot (or so I hope) and two years later ‘Broken City’ was finished. Due to the support I have received from readers I have just finished the next book in the Broken City series, Broken Truce!

I have another book, ‘The Promise’, which is set in Saxon England is the beginning of a series. I’ve just begun to edit the next book and I’m really looking forward to releasing it.
My third series is called The Chronicles of Discord. The first book, 'Fracture', is set in the distant future and tells the story of Astra, a young woman with a very big secret.

I have just finished the second book in the series and it’s currently awaiting editing.
I really hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them.

I love reading and have a kindle: I read almost anything with adventure and romance in it! I also like to cook and wear impractical high heels!!! And as you might have noticed I have a horrible addiction to exclamation marks!!!

5 Hot Steamy Stars
Let me just go ahead and start this off with a warning- when you start this book, you will not come up for air or enter the regular world again until the very last page.  And even then, when you finish, you will be left sitting there thinking how totally AWESOME the book you just read was and wanting to live the lives of the characters that you have just fallen in love with.  This is the second book in a series, but can be read as a standalone since it's about different main characters, which to me, keeps the story fresh.
So, I bet you can guess now that I absolutely LOVED this book.  And one of the things, or people, I loved the most is Mr. Hot and Handsome himself, Knox Wellington!  Whew, let me stop and fan myself for a minute.  This man has got it all and absolutely makes my panties melt.  He is one of those guys who is a little rough around the edges and is still dealing with his own demons.  After being injured in the war, he finds himself back home being cared for by Charlie.  Now, I know I said I loved Knox, but I loved Charlie too!  I found it completely refreshing that she wasn't one of the little pushover heroines who is in need of being rescued.  She is headstrong, stubborn, and no pushover in any way.  Even though Knox is completely opposed to someone helping him, Charlie won't take no for an answer.  Their love wasn't one of those that was an instant love either.  They are both extremely stubborn and have major trust issues.  I loved their back and forth and when they would butt heads.  And as you can imagine, this book is filled with hot steamy sexual tension that just overflows out of the pages.  The chemistry between the two continues to build up until it finally bursts with some awesome sex scenes that will leave you blushing.
Overall, Tessa Teevan has written a wonderful story that is filled with detailed characters.  The story is very much plot driven and progresses with a natural flow.  I can not wait for more wonderful stories from Tessa Teevan!

REVIEW

4 stars. Alli and Damien finally got it together and realized that the only way they'll be happy is with each other. Alli and Damien have been through a lot but have learned to work through their problems and have healed each other. I loved seeing them return in book two happy and a couple. Of course with life there are always obstacles to overcome with Alli and Damien its way more then that.  They definitely cant catch a break and just be happy. Crazy messages and Damien's evil family try to break them but love overcomes it all.  The way that Damien is so protective over Allie is amazing he guards her with his life and will make sure that nothing will ever hurt her again. What is amazing is that their love is so strong and they always overcome these crazy things together. This book has some crazy surprise moments and some mouth dropping romance. Love me had me laughing and screaming at my ereader but I enjoyed every minute of the emotional roller coaster this amazing book took me on.

EXCERPT - Limo
Sex:

“Tybee
Island. That’s what I was handling with Bane. I rented us a house on the beach
after we left the doctor’s office. You’ll be safe, Alli, I promise. Security is
already in place.”

The
last statement and somber tone in his voice has me instantly pulling back from
the window.

“Damien,
you are the only person I feel completely safe with while this maniac is out
there. I don’t worry about not being safe when I’m with you.”

He
sends a quick text, and then he grabs the nape of my neck and pulls me to him.
Whatever was missing is back in full force and then some as my body warms, and
he begins to penetrate all my senses. The familiar haze comes over me, and the
world completely begins to slide away.

I’m not
even waiting for foreplay as I wrench my shirt and bra off my body. Damien’s
warm mouth immediately encapsulates my breast, and I arch at the pleasure that
begins to radiate down to my core, igniting a burn down there.
I need
my husband shirtless now.
 I
go to the bottom of his thermal shirt and start to pull it up. He immediately
disengages from my body as he takes over, and he has it over his head and
discarded in about a quarter of the time it would have taken me. In one
movement, he’s picked me up and laid me out on the limo floor.

He goes
for my pants and pulls them from my body. “Fuck, Alli, you are beautiful.”

I try
to do a seductive smile, but then his finger slides down my cleft and dips into
my core. I arch off the limo floor. He undoes his pants enough to free himself,
and he is on top of me immediately.

“I
can’t wait. I need inside you now.”

I open
my legs up in invitation and whimper at the friction as he enters me.

“Oh,
Damien, please, yes. It’s been too long.”

His Hometown Girl Blitz

He'd always managed to best her…

Jodi Chapman will do whatever it takes to get top care for her autistic son. If that means going home and convincing local farmers to sell their land, so be it. Even if her biggest opponent, childhood rival Daniel Gleason, is equally determined to convince farmers to buy into his co-op plan. And he's not playing fair.

Facing off against Daniel is the last thing Jodi wants. The attraction that's always fueled their competitiveness is as strong as ever and just as distracting. But with both their futures on the line, and years of distrust between them, how can they ever be on the same side?

 PREORDER

The sliding doors opened with a hiss and they stepped out into the cool, midmorning drizzle. Daniel breathed in the smell of exhaust and couldn’t wait to get home, away from all this concrete. He needed to strategize. Regroup and think about how he’d handle this new, unflappable Jodi.

She raised an eyebrow and gave him a measured look. “Where are you parked?” Her stroller’s plastic wheels swerved along the parking lot’s asphalt.

So she was letting his accusation go, her self-possession unnerving him. Gone was the girl whose passion had once swept him away from his everyday life, her white-hot temper later imploding it. How things had changed. At least the temporary cease-fire meant he could find out her plans. Stop them before she put them in place. For that matter, the drive home might soften her up with a tour down memory lane.

“I’ve got a ground-level spot,” he said, raising his voice so it’d be heard over a plane’s roar.

“Great. The sooner Tyler gets his nap the better.”

“Are you working right away or having some R & R first? I’ll show you some of the old sights.”

“I have to check in with my boss, then I plan to—” She stopped and shoved wet, frizzing hair from her face. “Why am I telling you this?” Her eyes roamed over him, mystified. Suddenly she looked like the girl he’d known years ago, the one who’d once worn her heart on her sleeve and had captured his.

“Because we used to be friends, Jodi Lynn.”

“Friends?” She snorted and shook off the water collecting on the stroller’s canopy. “And don’t call me Jodi Lynn.”

“Would you prefer ‘ma’am’? Is that what country folks are supposed to say when a city girl comes to town?”

“Knock it off, Daniel.” She nudged him, and the warmth of her bare shoulder through his thin shirt nearly burned.

“That’s Mr. Gleason to you,” he joked to hide the response her touch ignited. Careful, he warned himself.

Jodi shot him a level look, then picked up speed when her son started to kick again, his voice sounding like a teakettle about to boil. No wonder. Daniel would scream, too, if he was strapped in when he could walk instead. Parking lots were unpredictable, but with a firm hand and a sharp eye the little guy could have had his freedom.

“So why are you here instead of one of my aunt’s neighbors?” she asked once they halted beside his muddy blue pickup. The misting rain had only streaked the dirt.

“We’re all neighbors, and neighbors help each other.” He tossed her expensive-looking suitcases into the open bed, an echoing thunk sounding when plastic met metal. “In case you forgot.”

“I haven’t. I’m helping my old hometown get a fair deal that will improve their lives.” She spoke without looking up at him, her movements practiced and efficient as she swept up her thrashing son and secured him in the child seat she’d detached from the stroller, buckling him into the center of the truck’s continuous front seat.

“If you want something, use your words, Tyler,” she told her son.

The boy screamed and pounded his fists against the dashboard, but Jodi slid in beside him, looking as if it was any other day. And for her, maybe it was.

Daniel felt his resistance weaken until he caught himself. Her “fair deal” would only benefit Midland, not her former community. They’d either have to abandon their land or become corporate drones, working for a Midland paycheck. No. Jodi was the enemy. No matter that she made him remember good times he’d rather forget.

If he couldn’t convince her that this was personal, not business, remind her of the good times she’d had here and the people she’d cared about, then he needed her gone before she wrecked havoc on his home and his heart.

She’d done the latter the last time she’d left town. He’d be a fool to let her do it again. He wouldn’t let himself, or his town, fall for Jodi Lynn Chapman.

No ma’am.

Review
4 stars. This was a good fun loving read. Jodi is a single mom of an autistic son named Tyler and she does whatever she has to for her son. Jodi is giving the opportunity to provide a better life for her son but by doing that she has to return to her hometown. Jodi and Daniel have had a rival since they can remember but do things change once you grow up?  This book had a lot of meaning it shows not only the struggle of a single mom but also raising a child that has special needs. These characters jumped off the page and you couldn't help but love them This book was a fun and loving read I enjoyed it.
