Blog Tour: WANT by Emma Ryder

 Want by Emma Rider
Genre: Contemporary MMA Fighter Romance
Release Date: October 14, 2015
Cover Designer: Book Cover By Design

Savage in the cage. Savage in
the bedroom.

Powerful. Brutal. Mixed Martial
Artist, Ryland “The Savage” Cole doesn’t play by the rules. He wants it. He
takes it. And he wants Jade.

Professional cuddler Jade has
not only been hurt but also deceived by the one she once loved. She’s not going
to make a mistake again by giving her heart to a man. Especially since she’s
now free.

When a motorcycle club threatens
her best friend, she puts her life on the line in order to save him, but in
order to do that, she must spend every night in Ryland’s arms.

Always your friendly neighborhood cosmic secretary of romance, Emma Rider has been weaving stories since she was about five, writing and acting out plays about princes and princesses for her parents often. She currently resides in the East Coast with her husband and two standard poodles. She loves to read, needs to write, and has a love/hate relationship with cooking—but she can be found doing any of these. If she’s not found doing any of these, don’t worry, she’s probably practicing martial arts, dabbling in graphic design or pestering friends with movie quotes. She loves romance, loves happy endings and especially loves writing them.

The announcer said, “Your winner tonight by way of TKO is Ryland ‘Savage’ Cooooolllle.”
Ryland’s arm was lifted high.
The crowd cheered, and I whistled and clapped along with them. Then I froze as Ryland’s grays ensnared mine. Something powerful gleamed in them. Something predatory, and I was unable to tear away.
A thought crossed my mind. Should I run because of the way he was looking at me? I’d never had anyone look at me like that before. Not any of the menacing women in the prison who were picking their teeth with bones nor my ex when we were in the peak of our relationship. Ryland’s look was scary but another kind of scary. A pure sexual scary, and I kind of liked it.
My insides quivered, and my body ached for him. Sexual tension was a cunning enemy, always present, and I had ignored it since I’d met Ryland. But at the moment, I felt that I was going to blow if he came near me.
He moved, his body a ripple of power as he stalked toward me, ignoring the crowd seeking his attention. A reporter with a death wish stepped in front of him, cutting off his path.
Ryland halted to shoot the man a glare. The reporter changed his mind fast and scurried out of Ryland’s way. Coach threw his hands in the air, shouting at Ryland to stay, but was ignored. Ben must have had iron balls to put a hand on Ryland’s shoulder, but Ryland shot his grays to him, and Ben lifted his hands and backed off slowly.
My jaw had already dropped but fell even more when Ryland vaulted himself up the cage’s chain link, over the edge, and leaped to the ground, his knees bent to soften the impact. The spell broke when people swarmed him like flies, and I lost sight of him.
Tyeesha gave my hand a quick squeeze, mumbling, “Oh Lord, someone has it baaad.”
Who had it bad? Me or him? Because I freaking had it bad. I needed to get the hell out of here before he caught me. As I decided to run far away, maybe Hawaii or someplace farther, I watched the unfortunate person in front of me get tossed aside, and Ryland’s T-shirt-clad body materialized two inches from my face. I cranked my head back and froze.
The lights flashed behind him, and I blinked quickly. The crowd moved and buzzed around me, but they were merely background noise. His white teeth flashed in a predatory way, his grays were molten, and the way he was staring at me had my body flaring from a single flame to a freaking inferno. Run? What was the definition of that word? Before I knew it, he bent and I landed on his shoulder, my breath escaping me.
We were moving before I realized what was going on. I didn’t struggle, but I did attempt to brace myself on his back so I didn’t just hang there. He carried me out of the arena like he was a victorious warrior claiming the glory, claiming his prize. And was his prize.

Release Day: TRANSPARENT by Erin Noelle

Her elusive past didn't worry me,

Her heartbreaking scars never made me cringe,
And her haunting demons only made me a stronger man.
But the day Blake Martin was stolen from me,
I was scared to death.
Prepared to do anything necessary to get her back,
Little did I know it just might cost me my life.
My name is Madden Decker, and this is my story.

REVIEW

WOW what an amazing conclusion to this series. Erin Noelle, you have outdone yourself with these books, your writing is absolutely superb. The excitement and suspense was absolutely fantastic. I couldn't put it down. I am not going to spoil this for future readers but I just have to say that sometimes the bad guy can come good. Madden is no less delectable in this book and Blake is still as strong and wonderful. I wish I could award more than 5 stars  as I think this series shoots into my all-time top 5! Well done Erin Noelle!!

 Sometimes you reach a
point where you just can’t take any more — a breaking point, some call it.
The day I watched my husband murder the woman who was
pregnant with his child, my point didn’t just break, it exploded like a full
magazine’s worth of hollow points firing through the barrel of a
fully-automatic AK-47.
Literally.
I am no longer his American Princess, nor am I his slave.
Now, I’m a murderer in hiding. My name was Bryleigh Carter
Oliveira, and that was my story.
Translucent is one woman's story of breaking free, starting
over, and learning to trust again through willful submission.

Lorraine Britt, Nolan Ritter & Greg Clausen Interview

INTERVIEW

Author: Lorraine Britt

https://m.facebook.com/LorraineBrittAuthor

Cover Models: Nolan Ritter

  https://m.facebook.com/nolan.ritter&

Greg Clausen https://m.facebook.com/The7FootPhysiqueCompetitor

I Had the greatest pleasure of interviewing these three wonderful professional people live via Skype, sadly the interview didn't record but nevertheless I have some juicy information to share with you!!

Where are you all from?
L -is a fourth generation Native Texan. Lorraine is about to move with her family to Lubbock where she will be able to persue her writing full time! Yippeee
G - has recently moved back home to Dixon, Illinois. to be closer to his family.
N - moved to St. Louis just last week!!! He has just begun a new job - Good luck Nolan!

When & why did you begin writing?
Lorraine has always loved reading and had always wanted to be a sportswriter. She went to Oklahoma University. Life took her on a different path until she went to an Indie Author Event as a reader and thought to herself that she could try this and here she is 8 books later. She says "I won't consider myself a writer until I am doing it full time." Thankfully for us readers that is coming very soon!!!

What inspired your 1st Book?
Lorraine's 1st book is The Cowboy In Me

Mary Elizabeth Matthews is a reclusive novelist with a great appreciation for actor Cody McAllister, so much so that he inspires a character in her newest novel. Unbeknownst to her, Cody’s friend and co-star Jennifer Johnstone is a huge fan of her books and gives the newest one to Cody. She insists he find a way to make it into a movie, saying he’d be perfect for the lead. Cody is instantly lost in the world of this novel , absorbing it in one sitting. He makes it his mission to find the mysterious author and convince her to let him produce a film version, having no idea that the character the is so determined to play was written only for him…or how his mission would change his life…forever.

This book was inspired by Lorraine's love of the Twilight movies. And then, as is Lorraine's style she was inspired by her cover model for the book, Jared Thompson.

What comes first - cover, storyline, model?
Anyone who is familiar with Lorraine's books will know how her books and characters match her storylines so perfectly. Lorraine has an outline in mind when she begins. She then chooses her model and along with her AMAZING photographer Jennifer Tanner, they plan the photo shoot. Often ideas come to Lorraine as the photo shoot is taking place. Lorraine and Nolan tell me that this was how the  cover picture of the book Love Always Finds Its Way happened. When you read this book you will come across this scene and be able to enjoy it all the more because of the visual we can see.

How much of your books is realistic?
All of Lorraine's books are fictional, however she has a style which incorporates aspects of her models lives. In her words she "likes to make the books special for her models." In Lorraine's newest release In Loves Defence the main character Will is an ex professional basketball player who got injured on the court. This is very similar to the life of cover model Greg Clausen.

Who are some of your favourite authors?
L - has a few favourites Diana Gabaldon, Tolkein, JK Rowling, anything Sherlock Holmes and biography's.
N - has just finished school and is looking into how to best manage his finances and how to be the best in business, therefore, he is reading a lot of business books and books relating to getting out of debt and making money. He did say that he loves all of Lorraine's books. (Ahhhh)
G - has recently enjoyed Tuesday's with Morrie & Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom. He also enjoys sporting magazines.

What does a day in your life look like?
L - has two young children who she gets off to school before she herself goes to her day job. After work she collects her children does the usual Mom jobs of homework, play and cooking dinner. Lorraine tries to find time in the evening to write. this routine is about to change dramatically as Lorraine has given up her day job in order to write full time.
N - with Nolan's move to St. Louis he has also changed jobs. He was working nightshift in the hospital now he will be working evenings so hopes to get a more normal routine. Nolan will spend 2-3 hrs in the gym each day. However he also enjoys working out outdoors and will do this whenever possible. L -
G - when Greg moved home to Dixon, Illinois it was to work in his family's sporting goods store. He works there 9-5, although he told me that his sister would disagree with those hours!!! He also then spends hours in the gym. He has personal training clients who he works with online so spends the evenings answering emails. Greg tries to get all of his meal prep done on a Sunday. Hands up who would like to have this done for them?!

Greg - how did you move from professional basketball to cover modelling?
Greg played professional basketball for about 7 years, both in the US and Internationally, however in 2007 he ruptured 5 vertebrae's in his lower back and basketball was over for him. Greg told me that in the couple of years following this he put on a lot of weight. Also at this time his father had a heart attack. This made Greg realise that being over weight was dangerous, he then lost over 80lb and got into body building. he is now the first and only  successful 7 foot tall  natural bodybuilder. Lorraine saw Greg's FB page and contacted him about her work and the rest, as we say, is history!

Can you give us some advice on writing and fitness?
L - don't let pressure dictate what you do and stay true to your own beliefs and values.
N - remember "good things come to good people."
G - You can do it.

I cannot tell you how much fun it was talking to these three wonderful people. I was so nervous beforehand but they put me at ease and had me laughing from start to finish. The main thing I picked up was how dedicated they each are to their own goals and dreams. The inspired me to reach for the stars and to never give up.

I have to give big mention to Lorraine's photographer Jennifer Tanner https://m.facebook.com/JTannerFotog
and her Illustrator Ben Moss https://m.facebook.com/ploidart They are vital members of the team and have an abundance of talent.

Thank you so very much Lorraine Britt, Nolan Ritter and Greg Clausen for giving up you time for us at For The Love Of Books, we  really do appreciate it!
Lorraine Britt has a new book out today called In Loves Defence staring Greg Clausen as the cover model. This book got a 5 star review from me!

Author, Photographer, Cover Model

SPOTLIGHT

Featuring
Author Lorraine Britt, Photographer Jennifer Tanner & Cover Model Christopher Van Etten

Lorraine Britt
https://m.facebook.com/LorraineBrittAuthor

AUTHOR BIO
Lorraine Britt is a fourth generation Native Texan who is also immensely proud of her Louisiana heritage and solid Southern roots. As an enthusiastic lover of the written word, inspiration struck Lorraine and she began to bubble over with her own ideas. Grasping hold of her lifelong dreams, it wasn’t long before she was putting pen to paper and letting her fingers fly over a keyboard to bring her own characters to life. When she isn’t busy scribbling notes for her next idea you might find her whipping up delicious creations in the kitchen or putting miles on her car on road trip adventures. Lorraine is equally passionate about music, movies and sports. You’ll no doubt find these familiar themes woven throughout her books. Lorraine and her family currently make their home in northeast Texas.

QUESTIONS
Have any characters surprised you? Done different things you didn't see coming or gone in a different direction than you were planning?
Yes! There have been times when the story took a completely different direction than I originally intended.

You do such an amazing job bringing your characters to life. How do you bring such depth to them?
Thank you for saying that! I try to really envision them, envision their lives, their feelings, get inside the situation. I want my characters to be real and relatable.

What is your writing necessity?
Inspiration. I have to feel what I'm writing. I have to care about the characters and the story or it won't come to me.

In the  Soldier Series you deal with such real situations. How much research do you need to do before begining your writing?
Quite a bit actually. I've spent a lot of time talking to those in the military or to veterans of the military. I want to make sure what I am portraying is accurate and respectful.

Your book covers are so perfect and in tune with the story inside. How do you match the cover with the story and who helps you create such wonderful works of art?
To me, I have to find the perfect model and be able to put a bit of them into the character when I write. Then I will develop the story concept and share it with my amazing photographer, Jennifer Tanner. Jennifer and I will then discuss ideas and locations for the photo shoot. Once  we have the perfect shot, everything goes to my genius cover artist, Ben Moss. We give him the photos and our concept and vision and he brings it to life for us.

On average, how long from initial idea to completed book is it?
It varies from book to book. The fastest from idea to release? Four months. The longest? Thirteen months.

Were you apprehensive writing about such emotional topics? I think you deal with them fantastically by the way!
Not at all. I don't shy away from the emotional or the difficult or touchy topics. To me it is important to keep it real and raw.

Do you ever use the southern hillbilly stereotype in your books, or do you despise the term?
I try not to use stereotypes at all. I like to think my characters are completely unique and all their own. Having said that. I am from Texas and we have more rednecks where I am than hillbillies. So if anything you might see a little bit of that ... or at least the part that is accurate.

In the part of the State you live in, is racism still in full effect or has it subsided?
Honestly, in the north east part of Texas it really varies from community to community. I was blessed to grow up in a town where it wasn't a big issue, at least not to me and my friends. It was a small town and most of us knew each other from kindergarten on. We just didn't see each other by race, if that makes sense. Friends were just friends. The town I live in today is much the same. I know places where it is still more of an issue, but I hope those areas are making progress too.

Can you give us, at For The Love Of Books a sneak peek into your current WIP?
Sure! Up next I am working on both a sequel to my second book Love Knows No Bounds, which is my Young Adult Series. I am also begining the book that will feature Greg Clausen on the cover. I'm super excited about this one.

QUESTIONS

Do you ever feel, in your work that you are not taken so seriously because you are a female?
No, there are other issues but that is not one of them.
How do you make sure you capture the emotion and feeling you are going for in a shoot?

If I'm working for the author I try to tell the story through an image. If I'm working with a model I just try to capture the look they are going for.
Have you always wanted to be a photographer?
No
What is the craziest location you've shot at?
The barrel house at Jack Daniels.
What is the craziest thing you've asked a model to do?
Get in the freezing cold lake in January or February in Alabama
What 5 words best describe your photography style?
Organic, respectful, moving, inspiring, unique
How did you get so lucky to work with such amazing people, authors and models alike?
I'm just very blessed
Obviously you are crazy talented, but is photography something you've always wanted to do or just something you were good at that turned into an amazing job?
It was a hobby that turned into a great job.
When asking models to do crazy things do you ever get a fit of the giggles?
No. I'm always serious and focused (and they say bossy!) on a shoot.
Do you have a favourite picture? Maybe of Christopher?
Yes, our shoot this past week definitely resulted in my favourites of Chris. Of all time... the shoot on a tug boat with Jeremy Mooney

Don't blink!!

What is the best piece of advice you've been given?
Don't take life  too seriously.

What is the craziest thing you've been asked to do as a model?
To shoot naked in the middle of a street!

You totally nailed Landry on the cover. What things did you do to help you get into character?
The character is loosely based on me, so I was just myself.

How did you break into the modelling world?
I was looking for a way to inspire people and photography was a great way to do that.

Do you read the books you are on the cover of?
Of course.

Has your outlook on the world changed since becoming a double amputee? Specifically, do you notice people looking at you differently or treating you differently? If so, positive, negative or both?
People definitely treat me and look at me differently, but I like to think that it's because they see me as a source of inspiration.

How do you cope with the attention, especially at the author/reader events?
Be grateful that so many people are proud to meet me.

Do you enjoy meeting your fans?
Of course.

What is your favourite hobby (I'm thinking it is your motorbike?)
That ... and the gym.

I see from some of your photos that you have a dog/ Is it a service dog and if so what does she help you with?
Yes, ma'am ... she is, but she is also my best friend. She helps  grab things for me as well as she is a great therapist.

REVIEW FOR:
ALWAYS FAITHFUL ALWAYS YOURS
From the cover to the last word, this book is great. Never before has a cover so accurately portray the storyline itself. This book deals with a serious subject matter in a compassionate, realistic yet enjoyable (if that's the correct word) manner.  Can Life long friends ever become lovers? Well with what Landry and Madeleine have to overcome you would guess that the odds are stacked against them but maybe not? I love how this book was written in a duel pov this really makes the book have so much more depth. I really enjoyed this book from an author who was new to me. Thank you for not shying away from difficult subject matter. I award this book 4 stars ~ Rosie
