Synopsis
Twenty-nine year old wild, carefree, and brutally sarcastic Amanda Bishop thought her three rules for dating would weed out unworthy suitors. And they did. Until she met Shane Reed, her smart-ass, sexy-as-sin CrossFit coach who pushes all her buttons. He’s the man she loves to hate. But when the hate begins to ebb away, and is replaced by feelings she can’t handle, Amanda hides behind her rules. Will the electric chemistry she feels with Shane allow her to get beyond a painful past, or will she push him away with her rules? Rules that make her the ultimate Sex Snob...This novel is a spin-off to our first book Pieces of Perfect, but can be read as a stand-alone novel.

Review

4.5  stars. Who doesn't like a book with a hot lead and an even hotter leading women throw in some humor and some sexual tension and you have sex snob! I loved Amanda and Shane and how they both gave each other shit but were so good together. I don't know about anyone else but through the book all I could picture is Shane sweaty from working out;) Elizabeth Hayley did not disappoint on this spin off though I'm dieing to see what happens between Lily and Max. Elizabeth Hayley knows how to deliver a story with style I cant wait to read more.

ADULT CONTENT - Only Suitable for 17+ As a sexy ex-hockey player, Max was the bad boy with something to prove. As a handsome single father, Adam was the man most women wait a lifetime for. Each man would take me on a journey of self-discovery that was marred with lies, jealousy, deceit, and a whole lot of fun. They each offered a glimpse of happily ever after, a piece of perfect. But in my constant quest to have it all, I would risk losing everything. Only one thing was certain. I’d never be the same after this.

About the Authors:
Elizabeth Hayley is actually "Elizabeth" and "Hayley," two friends who love  reading  romance  novels  to  obsessive  levels.  This  mutual love prompted  them  to put  their  English degrees to good use by penning their own.  The product is  Pieces of  Perfect, their debut novel. They  learned a ton about one  another  through the  process, like how they clearly share a brain and  have a persistent  need to text each other constantly (much to their husbands' chagrin). They are currently writing the  sequel to  Pieces of  Perfect,  which is expected to be released in the spring/summer of 2014.

"Elizabeth" lives with her husband, one and a half year old daughter, and nutjob of a dog. “Hayley” lives with her husband and their own crazy dog. They are hoping to adopt a newborn soon.
Elizabeth Hayley's writing motto is best captured by the words of Patrick Dennis: "I always start with a clean piece of paper and a dirty mind."

Upcoming Books:
We are currently writing the sequel to Pieces of Perfect and are about thirteen chapters in.  Well, we also have the epilogue done because we had such a clear vision for it.  The book begins about four months after the first book ends and is told in first person point of view, alternating between Max, Adam, and Lily’s perspectives.  Though both men are in the book, they have different roles, and are not in a love triangle with Lily.

Interview Questions

1.  What inspired you to write your first book?
We both like to read romance books...the smuttier, the better.  One day Hayley said, “I bet we could write one of these.”  Elizabeth had an interesting premise for a love triangle. The rest is history.

2.  What was the hardest part in writing your book?
Hayley: I would have to say it was the scene where Lily and Amanda have a serious conversation about Shane toward the end of the book because it felt very nuanced. I had to include little references about Lily for the readers who read Pieces of Perfect without giving anything away for people who haven't read it yet.  I also had to get her to say certain things without actually coming out and saying them, if that makes sense.

Elizabeth: The bar scene after Amanda and Shane "broke up."  It was really difficult to get the emotions of the characters where we wanted them. I also struggled with how Amanda and Shane should interact during that scene.

3. How did you come up with the title?
The two of us were in a group text with our friend Amanda (the Sex Snob namesake) and we were discussing places we’ve had sex  Elizabeth said that two of her husband's friends had sex in a porta-potty. That conversation led to us discussing weird places we would like to have sex. Elizabeth said that she doesn't like to have sex in public and Hayley called her a sex snob. Then Amanda said that should be the title of our next book.

4.  How much of the book is realistic?
We labor over how to make our books realistic. We want the dialogue to be authentic, the characters' reactions to feel genuine, and for the reader to be able to relate to the characters on some level. We also try to include tidbits from our real lives into our writing. All that being said, our work is fiction, so we definitely stretch the realism in parts.

5.  What books have most influenced your life most?

Elizabeth: In college, I was very much affected by Faulkner's Go Down, Moses. The chapters alternate between telling the story of the plantation owners and the spaces who work there. A common thread throughout the book is how the slaves, despite obviously having the more difficult existences, are able to endure much more than the plantation owners. This concept of having to endure the difficult times inspired me so much, I actually got the Chinese symbol for endure tattooed on my hip.

Hayley: The first book that I ever remember reading and really loving was The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.  It was the first book that I read and thought, “Huh?  I can see why people actually read for fun now.”  I guess you could say that sparked my love for reading and writing, which obviously has a great impact on my life now.

6.  If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?

We feel like, even though they don't know it, Christina and Lauren of the Beautiful books are our mentors. They were the first writing duo we saw really push the limits of the genre and become famous doing it. If we can have half the success they've had, we'd consider ourselves extremely fortunate.

7.  What book are you reading now?
Hayley: I'm reading about ten books right now.  Every time I hear about a new book, I can't resist, I have to one-click it and begin reading. I usually get about 20% in before I download a new book and start that one. It's a vicious cycle.

Elizabeth: I'm reading The Home Court Advantage by NM Silber. Snary female lawyer plus dirty-mouthed prosecutor = awesome!!

8.  Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?
There are really too many to name. There are so many great authors out there, listing them is a truly impossible task.

9.  What are your current projects?
We are currently writing the Pieces of Perfect sequel.  Once that is completed, we do have plans for a stand-alone novel.  Elizabeth has “imprinted” on this book like Jacob from Twilight.  It’s all she thinks about.  She’s completely obsessed.  So yes, we do have plans for other books.  It’s so much fun writing together.  If we wrote alone, it would feel so boring.

10.  Do you see writing as a career?

YES!  We would both love to get to a place where we could write full-time. Even part-time would be a blessing. We both feel that writing is our calling, and it's our dream to be able to dedicate ourselves to it fully.

11.  Can you share a little of your current work with us?
Oh boy. The Pieces of Perfect sequel has been a challenge for us because the characters have all grown and changed from the first time you met them. I think people will be surprised what Max, Adam, and Lily are up to.

12.  Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
Just thank you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We can't believe when we go on Facebook, Goodreads, and Amazon and see all of the fantastic things people have to say about our work. It's incredible and we're just in awe that people actually like us and our work.

14.  What is the most embarrassing moment you've had?

Hayley doesn't embarrass easily, so she doesn’t really have a most embarrassing moment. Elizabeth tends to block out all the times she makes a fool of herself (and this happens often), so she has nothing to contribute either.

15.  Who is your favorite character in your book and why?

Hayley:  My favorite character is probably Amanda from Sex Snob. She’s confident, hilarious, and totally hot.  How could I not love someone who’s exactly like me?

Elizabeth: First of all: Hayley, you're an ass haha. I think I'll always be partial to Lily because she was our first creation. We became writers through her voice. She'll always be pretty special to me.

16.What’s your favorite sex position and why?
Hayley: Probably on top because I can control the angle and speed that way.

Elizabeth: I like to be on top because, well, the deeper the better I guess ;)

17. Whats your favorite snack?
Hayley: Probably Entenmann’s Chocolate Chip Cookies or Tastycakes.  For those of you who aren’t from Pennsylvania, you’re missing out.   Order some immediately.

Elizabeth: Low Fat Jello Swirl Pudding. I've been trying to get back into shape, and this is a way for me to have chocolate without ingesting a ton of calories. My daughter and I share one every night after dinner.

18.  What do you do for fun?
We created The Moron Olympics to add some fun to our workdays. We come up with ridiculous activities and compete against each other. We also like going to dinner and talking smack on Facebook to one another.

Individually, we do the basic stuff: hang out with our families, watch movies and favorite TV shows, read, things like that.
