Feature Friday Author S. Moose

Hi Everyone, Kendra here.  This weeks Feature Friday Author is S. Moose! I had the honor of reading two of her awesome books. Check out the Synopsis and reviews for each book below and our Q&A with her!

Reaching Out For You: Adam and Sophia were best friends but when tragedy strikes it's more than Adam can handle and he leaves Sophia alone in the dark.
Four years later, Adam and Sophia are reunited and the sparks between them return but is it too late?
Sophia is happy again and has let go of the darkness. She has great friends and a sweet boyfriend name Kyle. Now that Adam is back how will she be able to balance her boyfriend and her best friend?
The darkness always finds you again but will Adam be able to save her or leave her again?
NOTE: This will be part of the Never Letting Go series

My Review: This is a story about Sophia, a 21 year old student who has had a lot of loss in her life (some of that self-inflicted) and doesn't feel that she deserves anyone’s love and support. She ends up in an abusive relationship that she can’t convince herself to get out of until her best friends, Adam & Connor, come back after being out of her life for 4 years. Will Adam be her saving grace or will she push him away like she does everyone else?
I feel like Sophia is pretty selfish and immature for being a senior in college so I was frustrated with her a lot of the time. I’m sure anyone who has ever been in or around an abusive relationship will really connect with Sophia. I loved her best friend Erin as well as Adam & Connor and hope their stories will continue in the series. The love story is there but you also feel the fear & anxiety that Sophia goes through.  Overall, I give this book a 4 star rating because some of her decisions where hard to believe anyone would act that way and I felt like it drug on a little too long but it’s definitely a good read for anyone who enjoys reading about second chances and college age novels. ~Kendra

Holding Onto You: Losing my best friend was the worst feeling in the world. I always wondered what she was doing and how she was doing but I never went after her. I never took the time to find out how she was doing and that broke my heart into a million pieces. Not only did I lose my best friend but I lost the love of my life.
Now, four years later, I am back in North Carolina and find myself longing to see her smile and feel her touch. One day, she finally sees me and our eyes connect. The connection is still there. She can still make me weak at the knees and she still holds my heart and soul.
Things are different. She is dating my teammate Kyle and I hate him. Not for dating my Sophia but for being the worst person imaginable. But I vow to make her mine again. Welcome to my mind and life. My story about finally seeing Sophia again and how I will always be holding onto her.

My Review: I loved this companion novella!! Holding Onto You is book 2 in S. Moose’s Never Letting Go Series.  It is written in Adams POV and tells his side of their story from that terrible day 4 years ago up until one of his brief encounters with Sophia. This really helps you understand what Adam was going through and it actually made me like Sophia more than I did in the first book.  I really liked that this novella didn't just rehash the exact same events as the first book. It just gave you a clearer picture of what was really going on.  This is a definite must read after Reaching Out For You and I give it 4.5 stars! ~Kendra

Q&A with S. Moose:
Where are you from? Webster, NY
What do you do in your free time? What is free time? hehe..I like to be with my husband, family and friends. I have a shopping addiction and a one-click addition, it's very bad.
When did you realize you wanted to be a writer? I've always known I wanted to be a writer but Sandi Lynn pushed me to reach my goal of finishing a book and hitting the publish button.
What is your biggest inspiration for your books? I'm a sucker for romance and finding yourself again. I find that I put a piece of myself in my characters.
Which comes first? The character's story or the idea for the novel? The idea for the novel.
What are your favorite authors/books? Oh gosh, I have so many!
Sandi Lynn, A.Meredith Walters, AL Jackson, Michelle Valentine, M.Leighton, Kendall Ryan, SL Jennings, Rachel Van Dyken, Teresa Mummert, Jennifer Probst, Kelly Jamieson, Carey Heywood, Dawn Martens,  Melissa Collins, Molly McAdams, Abbi Glines, Jessica Sorensen, Emily Minton, Gina Maxwell, Cora Carmack, Kelly Elliot and Emma Grayson.
What was the hardest part to write in the book? The end. It's weird, I build such a great connection with my characters and I sometimes talk to them LOL! I hate ending their story because I feel as though they have so much more to say.
How do you react to a bad review of one of your books? Honestly, I cry and eat chocolate.
Do you ever write naked? :) pffffffffffft ain't no one got time for that! LOL, no I haven't.
If you were to write a book about yourself what would you name it? Love. Plain and simple.
How personal is your writing? It's very personal. My first novel, Reaching Out For You, dealt with abuse and the fear of falling in love and finding yourself. In many ways, I am Sophia minus being abused.
What's the one thing you can't live without? My iPhone. No lie.
List five adjective to describe yourself:
Silly
Sweet
Funny
Shy
Naughty
Halloween is coming up, are you dressing up?
A bag of jelly beans hehe
What are you currently working on?
I just published Holding Onto You, book 2 in the Never Letting Go series. Teach Me Love is in it's final editing stages and will be released on 9/27. I plan on releasing two more novels, Next to Forever and Vision of Love, by the end of 2013.
Is there anything you want to tell your readers?
I LOVE you all so much! You're all incredible and amazing so NEVER be afraid to say hi to me =)
