Blog Tour: Dark Indiscretion & Monster Unleashed

Dark Indiscretions:

What happens when your
whole family is scarier than any nightmare and you have no desire to be
anything like them? Do you stay and go along with the family plans or do
you rebel and have them possibly turn their viciousness on you?

Jennifer
Johnston experiences first hand why whispers are spoken in the dark
about her species being evil when she was just a century old. What
should have been another family dinner spent arguing over why she didn’t
want to keep the bloodlines “pure” by being married off to her older
brother turned into a nightmare and left her with more than tortured
memories.

Jackson Dawls and Taylor Durham had been pack mates,
best friends, and the other’s mate for as long as they could remember.
They were a deadly species all their own but even they feared the
Mystics and their overly cruel and barbaric ways, but unforeseen
circumstances bring them face to face with not one but a few. Will there
lives be in danger or is something great and unexpected awaiting them?

They
also have to stay under the radar of the human society that is set out
to destroy those they believe to be “Tarnished” and a danger to mankind.

When
the three meet long ago secrets are brought to the light. Secrets no
one but Jennifer knew. Not only do they have to learn to get along with
each other because they are fated, someone is also stalking Jennifer and
preforming sinister acts without her being any the wiser.

Jennifer
must seek guidance from old acquaintances and form alliances with those
she never thought she would. She is met with riddles and startling
revelations that she never would have imagined possible.

Will
they accept their fates and work together or will old fears destroy
their lives? Will Jennifer be able to reclaim what was taken from her
right from under her nose?

The smell of sex was definitely
in the air, and already Jenny's heart was pumping. She could hear the blood
calling to her from the veins of all the humans present at Heaven's Angles.
Stupid humans didn't know they were in a bar full of killers. Not her problem.
Just because she wasn't as bloodthirsty as some didn't mean she still didn't
need her fix. She didn't have a death wish. She still needed the occasional sip
of blood to survive. She blamed it on her dual nature. Whatever; she would just
take what was needed and be on her way. She spotted a cute little couple that
was probably in their early twenties. They would do. All she had to do was turn
on the charm a bit and they would take her home. She would have a little snack
with her sex. Take care of both problems at once.

She walked over with her
body's calling powers in full effect to start the subtle seduction. She loved
the thrill of the power running through her veins. She didn't give in to her
body's demands very often but when she did she relished in it. She felt nothing;
“regret” and “remorse” were just words in a dictionary when she felt her Mystic
nature rising to the surface. She was in full predator mode. Now it was time to
catch her prey.

***

Perfect. Someone was
coming out the back door. Now, as his soon-to-be bride hunted, he would do the
same. Poor sap wasn't even going to see it coming. He moved faster than the
human eye could perceive and dragged his prey to the dark corner. Fear was
thick in the air. Good, he loved it when they were scared. He looked his prey over.
A cute little twink, slim, lean muscles, spiky blond hair, loads of mascara,
and cute lips. Mm, he would do nicely. He took his knife out his back pocket
and made a tiny slit below his prey's collarbone.

"That's right
sweetie. Squirm for me. Just makes it more exciting. Maybe I'll fuck you while
I drain you. Make it that much sweeter."

Jenny had made it to her
mark. Their eyes immediately darted toward hers. "Mm, aren’t you both
adorable. Are you guys up for a little fun tonight? I promise you won't be
disappointed."

She was ready to go. She
could already feel her fangs trying to bust out of her gums. She needed to get
them out of here like five minutes ago.

"We're always up
for some fun," the female purred at her.

Her boyfriend just
nodded his head in agreement.

"Our place isn't
too far from the club. If you're ready we can leave now. It's just me and Jim
tonight, so we don't have to say any goodbyes."

That's fucking perfect,
Jenny thought. She made sure to use her powers of concealment on any witnesses
who might have seen her leaving with the couple, just in case. You could never
be too fucking careful, especially since the Mooyers. She didn't need their
bullshit in her life.

***

Well, it seems like his
Jenny found herself a nice couple to fuck and suck. He loved it when she fed
her Mystic. It gave him hope that she wouldn't fight him too much. Having
finished with his prey, he
discarded the useless body. He then made sure to use
his magic to remove all evidence that he had
been there. Any human or other who
got any bright ideas would think that there was a serial killer
running rampant
Even the two little holes in his neck where gone. Usually after a kill, he
would at
least try to move the body, but he didn't have that kind of time right
now. His prey was getting away
and he didn't like her out of his sight for too
long.

Review
3 SOLID STARS! This book took some getting used to and I found myself rereading parts of it. I was confused as to what everything was and who everyone was. Once I got that down I started to enjoy it. The characters could use a little more development, they all came across sort of juvenile. I thought the idea and storyline had some intriguing ideas that might have benefited from a slower pace. I am excited to read the next book to see if it delves deeper into the story where some things were missing.

Dark Indiscretions: Monster Unleashed

What would you do if the
one fate chose for you vanished into thin air? What would you give up?
Who would you become to stay with that person?

Krista Bell
Johnston finally knows what it's like to be free. The torture she
endured at the hands of her psychotic father has unleashed the monster
her mother tried so hard to help her suppress. The only thing she wants
to do is be the shadow in the night that everyone is afraid of.

Taser
“Taz” Jameson is barely holding it together. He lost Kris once to her
father and now he's losing her to the monster she is becoming. He's also
barely containing his own monster since Krista decided she didn't need
her mates anymore. Nathan is still near but he may not be enough.

Nathan
Brimming, Jr. is on the verge of losing not one but both of his mates.
One vanished without a trace. The other is avoiding him. He has run out
of patience with them both.

But when the monster that Krista has
become comes to them with a proposal; will they take her up on it and
possibly lose themselves or will they try to talk her down and get the
beast to put back on her chain?

“About damn time!” Jennifer yelled from
the backseat. She quickly exited the car before Jackson could respond. She
needed to see her daughter. Jennifer walked as quickly as her escalating
pregnancy would allow her. Her steps faltered when she heard the heart-piercing
howl of a Dylia, a howl that could only mean someone was in serious pain.
Before she knew it, Jackson was right beside her and holding her by her elbow.
She didn’t say a word.

“Do not leave my side. Something is wrong
with Taser. I would know that damn howl anywhere,” Jackson said.

They made their way into the compound and
Jackson questioned the first wolf he saw, which happened to be one of the
triplets, Bane. He wasted no time in the questioning.

“What in the hell is going on around
here? Why does your Alpha sound like someone just shot him in his balls?”
Jackson inquired.

“It would seem that the Alpha Mate has
vanished. Poof, without a trace. She did so right in front of both her mates.
Nathan is just standing there boiling mad, while the Alpha won’t stop howling
and running circles around Nathan. He also growls at anyone who gets too close
to either of them. I was on my way to call you and Taylor when I ran into you,”
Bane explained.

“What in the hell do you mean vanished?”
Jennifer screeched.

“Poof,” was all Bane said in answer and
walked away, leaving Jennifer screaming every unpleasant word she could think
of to his retreating form.

This could not be his life right now.
This shit could not be happening. He was in the Twilight Zone. Yep. That had to
be it. No other explanation. He was going to wake up any moment from this
cluster-fuck of a situation. He had to wake up. He wouldn’t accept any other
option, but as he looked at the face of his Nyhyia, he knew that shit was long
past ever happening. He should have fucking let Taylor drive her.

4 EVEN BETTER STARS! This book picks up where the first one leaves off. I liked the character development in this one, even if it was hard to read Krista turn into what she turns into. It was easier to understand this book and I thought the pace and story line were better as well. I liked how the suspense built and hooked me, I read this is a day. I am excited to read the next one and see where this goes.
