Featured Author Christina Channelle!

Hey Everyone! I’m so excited to introduce you to our Featured Author Christina Channelle!! She has written some awesome books and I had the honor of reading Those Four Letter Words, which I absolutely loved! Check out my review and the synopsis below as well as our interview with Christina, her bio and more info on her other books. ~Kendra

Synopsis
Eighteen-year-old Jade Reamer is a tough girl with a reputation to prove it. She loves three people and three people only: her brother, her boyfriend, and her best friend. Everyone else is irrelevant.

That is … until Reed enters the picture again.

Suddenly things start to spiral out of control and things aren’t as they seem. Life is no longer simply black and white, love versus hate. Suddenly, it’s hard to figure out which of those four letter words is true.

Especially when she can’t look away from those devil eyes.

I love you. I hate you. I love you. I hate you. Which is it? I don’t even know anymore.

Well, let’s find out.

This 15,000 word novella contains coarse language, angst-driven young adults, and a lot of pent-up frustration.

Oh yeah. Plus love and a little bit of hate.

My Review
Those Four Letter Words is an awesome novella!! Without a doubt, I give it 5 stars. Love and Hate. Two completely different words, yet so closely related it’s scary. Jade is a no-nonsense girl and only has love for those few select people and doesn’t care to deal with anyone outside her circle, although that circle continues to change on her.  I liked how this novella was written and I can’t wait for the next book in the series to see how Jade’s story continues.  I loved how it ended, but it left me with a major book hangover! ~Kendra

Interview
1.      Where are you from? Southwestern Ontario, in suburbia near Toronto.
2.      Can you tell us a little about your family? My family supports me in my writing efforts. They've supported me with pretty much anything I wanted to do, although it may take a little persuasion for some things. My parents buy each of my books, although I doubt they'll ever read them. Maybe my mom will.
3.      Are you dressing up for Halloween? If so, as what? I haven't dressed up in years! My friend is suggesting we go to a party this year so perhaps I'll dress up as something easy, like a zombie or a vampire.
4.      When you aren’t writing, what do you like to do with your time? Read, read, read. I also love to watch movies and listen to music.
5.      When and why did you begin writing? I started writing back in high school. I guess I always had this creative side to me even though I took a lot of math and science courses. I always enjoyed reading, and that love of reading eventually created a love for writing.
6.      What inspired you to write your first book? After reading so much as a kid, I began to create stories in my own head which lead me to wanting to write my own story. I first started Dahlia years ago back in high school and was only recently able to complete it.
7.      Do you have a specific writing style? Not really. I just write when the mood strikes my fancy, with no particular direction. I let my fingers lead me. It's probably not typical of other authors, but it's what I do.
8.      What are you reading right now? Pocket Full of Posies by Angela Roquet. It's an awesome reaper novel and I've really enjoyed the series.
9.     Who are some of your favorite authors? I loved the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella. Christopher Pike was a staple I used to read as a kid. I immensely enjoy indie authors like Nikki Godwin and David Estes. It's hard to just name a few.
10.  Is there a particular movie that you preferred over the book version? Not that I can think of. I usually prefer the book over the movie. Although I did enjoy watching Hunger Games, despite a few hiccups.
11.  Do you prefer ebooks or paperbacks? Last year I would have said paperbacks because I'm old school. But there is such an ease of reading ebooks, that that's how I read the majority of my books.
12.  Where’s your favorite place to write? On my bed.
13.  What music are you listening to at the moment? Imagine Dragons, Florence + the Machine, OneRepublic just to name a few. I <3 music.
14.  What is something you hate doing? Why? Getting up in the morning. I am definitely a night owl. I get most of my work done at night. Getting up in the morning to start my day just...sucks. Buckets.
15.  Where does the inspiration for your characters come from? Entirely from my imagination, sometimes my mood dictates the character I create. Jade would be a perfect example. I was in a funk and felt the itch to write something, anything. As a result, Jade, the irritable, pissy girl was born. My characters derive from my own world filled with angels, vampires, and sassy girls with an attitude.
16.  What are your quirky habits? This is the only one I can think of at the moment. Please don't judge: When I eat a grape the way I want to eat a grape, I peel the skin off, eat that first, then eat the rest of the grape. It takes some time but I enjoy it, lol.
17.  Any advice for other authors? Don't let others dictate your success. Success means a lot of things. For me, it was the ability to self-publish my own books. Anything more is only bonus.
18.  Is there anything you want to tell your readers? There are so many books out there to choose from, so if you've had the opportunity to read any of my books, thank you! I am very humbled and appreciative of that. It makes my day when a reader contacts me or leaves a review of them enjoying my words.
19.  Those Four Letter Words is book #0.5 in the TFLW Series. When can we expect Book #1? The plan is sometime next year, most likely the summer. Jade's story has definitely not finished as Those Four Letter Words was just the beginning.
20.  Can you tell us a little bit about what you are currently working on? My next book will be the 3rd installment in the Blood Crave Series, Sage. It's my YA Urban Fantasy series that follows DahliaFallen Tears, and Rowan. It will contain some action, memorable characters, and of course, love.
